1-cup milk
1-cup sugar
1-cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1-cup fresh fruit
Stir together the dry ingredients, then add the milk.
Add the fruit (if canned fruit, you can use the juice, but MUST use with powdered milk (1 cup))
Melt one stick of butter (not margarine) in a 9×9 pan
Pour mixture in pan
Bake at 375 for 30-45 minutes
Let sit for at least 4 hours before eating (to settle the cobbler)
That peach cobbler is one of the most delicious things that this mouth has EVER experienced!!! Oh My God!!!! YUMMMMMMM!!! Absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! All the nom nom nom!!!! Tastebud orgasm achieved!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Michelle, thank you for your kind words about the cobbler. Its an old southern recipe that my grandmother used and passed down to me.
The great thing about this recipe is that you can use whatever fruit you want. And if the fruit isn’t in season, you can substitute the milk with powdered milk and used canned fruit with the juice. When using canned fruit, you have to go easy on the mixing.
You can also add in a 1/4 tsp of cinnamon.
This recipe will always be on this site, so bookmark it and come back to see what else we are creating.
Wow—looks great!
Thom,
Thanks for the kind words about this recipe. I will be showing a second version of it when I use powdered milk and canned fruit. Stay tuned.
